Jacobs Senior Construction Estimator (Part-Time) in New York, New York

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Construction Estimator based out of New York City, NY supporting multiple state-wide projects on a part-time basis. You’ll review and verify consultant cost estimates and develop cost estimates from conceptual to detailed. You’ll provide change order reviews and negotiations along with bid review and schedule of value review and approval. You’ll be a key contributor and mentor to a knowledgeable and supportive team as you prepare estimates by developing project work breakdown structures, calculating complete scope of work take-offs, and apply construction means and methods. Design teams will also collaborate with you on the quality and amount of input necessary to develop the required level of design build construction estimates. You’ll tap into both your creative and analytical sides in this role as you develop reports and presentations as well as analyze historical data.

'- 15+ years working on building construction or civil projects with general construction estimating responsibilities

  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents and construction plans to prepare estimates

  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in quantitative risk analysis and industry estimating software

Ideally, you will have:

  • Certificate of Construction Management
