Overview
Publicis Sports, the sports marketing division within Publicis Groupe and Publicis Media, is searching for a Senior Account Executive to join its team based in New York, NY or Chicago, IL. This position requires a highly motivated and entrepreneurial-minded person to assist with the strategic consulting, executional management and investments of our client’s sports property and media partnerships. The main duties of the role are day-to-day account management, with some assistance in prospecting for new business.
Publics Media is the media strategy and buying arm of Publicis Groupe, a leading Global marketing and media holding company. Publicis Media includes the Starcom, Spark Foundry, and Collective agency brands, while Publicis Groupe includes Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH), and others.
Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day project and account management duties as assigned related to client sports marketing partnerships across property and media channels
Learn to analyze and understand client business strategies and objectives, and utilize that understanding to identify, develop and deliver high-value marketing recommendations and executions
Support development of sponsorship portfolio strategy, strategic executive presentations and project management of client assignments
Develop a comprehensive understanding of marketing communications which can be effectively translated into developing marketing goals, objectives, and strategies
Support sponsorship activation planning and execution of clients’ sponsorship properties and media
Learn to build, maintain and grow client relationships and client business
Build, maintain and grow relationships with rights holders and media owners and internal agency counterparts
Build and cultivate positive client and agency relationships
Become a key resource on our clients’ business
Play active support role in major agency new business pitches
Develop POV’s and whitepapers on sports industry news and developments
Key contributor to client presentation creation, industry trend documents , competitive reports , and partner optimization reports
Evaluate and provide POV’s on sponsorship opportunities
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of Sports Marketing industry experience (can include internships or subject-matter specific college degree)
Preferred candidate would have agency experience working on behalf of brand clients, but not mandatory
Proficiency across Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must
Strong written and verbal communication skills a must
Demonstrated ability to think strategically
Must be a self-starter who can work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Proven ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork and results

Compensation Range: $53,200 - $77,280 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
