The Senior Account Supervisor should bring strong experience in account management and client relationship building to be leveraged across several of the team's highly visible and growing accounts. They should have experience working with or at medtech, biotech, medical device or pharmaceutical organizations on pivotal product lifecycle moments, executive positioning, thought leadership, conference engagement, and business/health media. Additionally, the Senior Account Supervisor will lead client relationships, drive strategic planning and tactical execution, as well as performing fundamental tasks such as industry and company research, development of messaging materials, coaching team members, and budget management.

Responsibilities

    • Oversee operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, deadline, and budget adherence
    • Play major role in creation of communications plans and goals; manage against them
    • Serve as daily client contact and act as client lead when appropriate, address client issues thoughtfully and effectively
    • Consistently produce high-quality internal and external communications content
    • Build relationships with internal business partners to meet client needs
    • Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both traditional and social media outreach plans
    • Supervise staff by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable and conducting their reviews
    • Contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities, building network of industry contacts and participating in relevant professional organizations
    • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals
    • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with DJE's values and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
    • Be able to demonstrate excellent storytelling skills, and provide sound, level-appropriate media counsel with all level's client contacts
    • Be able to manage the media budgets and team on sizable pieces of business to achieve client goals
    • Ability to write strategic media plans and a variety of media materials with limited oversight
    • Possess keen interest and high awareness of current events in the healthcare industry


Basic Qualifications
    • 6 years of full-time experience in public relations and/or related fields including advertising and marketing
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (public relations, communications, English, advertising, journalism, business)


Preferred Qualifications
    • In-house or agency experience in one or more healthcare related fields including: medtech, biotech, pharmaceuticals, medical device
    • Have experience with and knowledge of earned media, particularly in the health and pharma space
    • Have knowledge on satellite usage in media capabilities
    • Have strong knowledge of TV, radio, print, and online media
    • Possess a solutions-oriented mindset
    • Have strong contacts and working relationships with local and national news media, understanding of basic television production and video terminology
    • Have experience managing campaign launches, milestone announcements, media events, and desk-side briefings
    • Possess proven management and leadership skills as well as a proven track record of success in executing fast-moving, large-scale campaigns at the strategic and tactical level


$79, 000 - $115, 000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
