The National Sales organization, within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Investment Solutions, supports the Firm’s Financial Advisors by managing the field sales support of non-banking products and the business development functions for our branch network.

The Consulting Group sales desk is responsible for advisory flows and increasing advisory adoption, when appropriate. The team engages with FAs to identify potential opportunities, suggest investment solutions to address a potential client need, and create scale and efficiency within a Financial Advisor’s practice. Team members are experts in advisory products & platforms. The team provides advice and support to Financial Advisors across various investment solutions inclusive of Firm Discretionary or Third-Party Portfolio Solutions, Separately Managed Accounts, Direct Indexing, Mutual Funds, & Money Markets. The team works in close partnership with the field sales team, the Consulting Group business, and many other stakeholders across the firm.

The Consulting Group Sales Desk Manager position provides an opportunity to gain additional exposure to the field and the business owners within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Specific responsibilities include:

· Day-to-day management of the CG sales desk analysts. This includes ensuring the analysts are:

· Proficient in tools & topics needed to conduct daily business in Consulting Group

· Effectively and efficiently answering inbound calls

· Supporting requests for proposal generation and other reporting needs

· Partnering across the sales team to execute successful enhanced engagements Implementing the CRM solution to highlight engagement and commercial success

· Ongoing professional development of the analysts on the Consulting Group Sales Desk

· Sales process management, specifically partnering across the organization on the CG Sales Enhanced Engagements

· Recruit, hire and train new team members

· Point of escalation for financial advisors, field sales partners, field management and sales desk team members

· Comprehensive understanding of Morgan Stanley’s Consulting Group Business & Traditional Investment Products

· Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 & Series 66 required upon hire; Series 9 & 10 or Series 24 required within six months of hire

· Bachelor’s degree required

· 5 years of financial services experience or related industry preferred

· Sales experience preferred

· Management experience preferred

· Possess exemplary communication, presentation, and time-management skills

· Establish, maintain and support strong working relationships with Financial Advisors and business partners.

· Demonstrate accountability and a strong work ethic to promote confidence and trust in their work

· Stay organized, focused, and highly disciplined. Be able to keep track of simultaneous competing needs of team and execute on all necessary actions in a timely manner

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
