The anticipated salary range for this role is between $84,000.00 and $103,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Treasury Customer Section Co-Chief, Global Markets Marketing Department (NY), the Sales Analyst provides support for marketing and customer support functions.

Scope

Within the Global Markets Marketing Department, the Sales Analyst role is transaction oriented and typically has limited participation in strategic decision-making. Consults with senior management on complex transactions and related issues. Number of direct reports: 0 Number of indirect reports: 0

Primary Responsibilities

The job responsibilities are described herein:

  • Complies with all FRB, State and Federal regulations.

  • Service SMBC's FX and Money Market customers in North America and Latin America as needed.

  • Interact with customers to understand their needs and concerns and communicate feedback to desk; increase frequency and substance of client communications with the business (conference calls, in-person meetings).

  • Interact with other SMBC departments to ensure a high level of communication and collaboration.

  • Transact Money Market and FX transactions via phone, email, and e-platforms.

  • Support colleagues as needed.
