The City College of New York (CCNY) is accepting applications for a university-funded Research Associate ("RA"). Reporting to the Dean of the Grove School of Engineering, the Research Associate will play a pivotal role in managing the Satellite Receiving Station at CCNY, a unique facility in the Tri-state area. This station provides unparalleled satellite data from NOAA, NASA, European, and Asian LEO satellites. This data is crucial for numerous research projects related to climate change, environmental monitoring, disaster management, and sustainable development.

The Satellite Receiving Station supports high-resolution applications, such as air quality and heat forecasts at a SOD-meter resolution, which are unique to CCNY. The RA will ensure that these advanced applications run smoothly, supporting ongoing research and enabling CCNY to maintain its competitive edge in remote sensing and environmental science. The RA's role is essential in processing and managing this data, directly contributing to high-impact research outputs and securing further research grants.

The data provided by the Satellite Receiving Station is essential for studying climate impacts in the densely populated New York City Metro area.
