New York University Research Associate (Full-Time) in New York, New York
General Summary:
Dr. Karen Adolph is seeking a full-time Research Associate to assist with several studies of behavioral development in infants, children and adults. The position is a great opportunity to gain research experience with home and laboratory data collections, multiple methods, and to collaborate on ongoing projects. This is an ideal position for someone to gain additional research experience before applying to doctoral programs. Responsibilties:
Primary responsibilities include participating in data collections; coding data; participant recruitment; set-up and clean-up of experimental equipment. Additional responsibilities include attendance at lab and project meetings; updating lab databases; various clerical tasks. All duties require in-person presence at Dr. Adolph's lab at New York University.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $55,000-$60,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Per NYU's remote-work policy, this position is expected to be fully in-person.
Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (psychology, human development, neuroscience, movement science)
Research experience in developmental or perceptual psychology
Willingness to work with infants and parents
Strong technical and computer skills
We are especially interested in someone who is high-energy, detail-oriented, organized, resourceful, and works well independently and as part of a team. We'd like someone to begin ASAP (no later than July 15, 2024).
