Citigroup Quantitative Analyst - C13 - NEW YORK in New York, New York

The Quantitative Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by incorporating statistical, computational, and architectural expertise. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

• Create and productionize trading desk analytics leveraging strategic technology platform and environment to align with the internal best practices.

• Architect, design and develop data pipelines for traditional, alternative, and internally generated data retrieval and management in adherence to Citi’s data governance standards.

• Develop new analytics libraries used for portfolio construction, trading, and risk-management.

• Help develop web applications that will allow traders to access the underlying index / flow data to perform and visualize analyses and computations with a goal of identifying new market inefficiencies and trading opportunities.

• Create, implement, and support quantitative models for the program trading business using tools such as mathematical finance, statistics and probability, Python, KDB, SQL, C++, .NET, Java, Javascript and object-oriented software design.

• Contribute and collaborate with a team of traders, quants and technology professionals in providing innovative ideas related to the equity market.

• Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure

• Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe

• Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of experience in a quantitative analytics or developer role, ideally in the financial sector

• Excellent quantitative skills, as evidenced by prior training in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, or related quantitative fields.

• Strong understanding of computer technology such as Linux literacy, Python, SQL, KDB and/or C+• Experience in market data and its management to support research effort

• High attention to details

• Good written and verbal communication skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree, Advanced degree is a plus

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$175,000.00 - $250,000.00
