Kinship Project Management Officer- Contract in New York, New York

Project Management Officer

*This role is a contract that will run to January 2025

General Overview

The PMO will be responsible for overseeing and driving forward key initiatives within Kinship and with its partners. They will have a keen attention to detail, exceptional management, and organizational skills, and have extensive experience managing cross-functional teams as well as external relationships. They will be responsible for the delivery of projects on time, within budget, and maintaining scope. They are expected to work closely with project managers, key stakeholders internally and externally, and executive leadership teams. They will have the ability to proactively identify gaps and opportunities within processes and governance and will have a track record of project implementation and change management success.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Adherence

  • Establish, improve, and/or maintain project processes

  • Ensure compliance across cross-functional and external teams

  • Monitor timelines, milestones and rollout

  • Identify key risks & communicate mitigation strategies in partnership with cross-functional and external teams

  • Maintain accessible project documentation

  • Foster an environment of continuous knowledge-sharing

Stakeholder management

  • Work with EAs to ensure all meetings are scheduled as needed and within the proper cadence required

  • Build agendas and corresponding project status/update decks as needed

  • Work with business ops specialists to capture action items and close the loop on priority activities as needed

Operationalize project roll-out plans

  • Understand and/or develop KPIs associated with successful project rollout

  • Work with the Marketing team in building out assets needed for successful project roll-out

  • Work with external teams to ensure everyone is resourced appropriately

  • Communicate roll-out plans through proper channels and at the proper levels of stakeholders to ensure alignment

  • Manage asset development in partnership with business ops specialist

Qualifications

  • You have extensive experience in project management, ideally in a PMO role

  • You have experience in petcare specifically veterinary care a plus

  • You have excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • You have familiarity with Microsoft Teams as well as Gsuite and slack

  • You love asking the RIGHT questions to get project teams to collaborate more effectively

  • You have a bias to action and are comfortable working with ambiguity

Contract Rate of: $80-100/hour depending on experience
