The GTB Delivery Team within the TDS Data, Delivery and Integration group is responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects impacting the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) business of TD Securities (TDS). Projects in this space will be in support of various business-driven, regulatory, and industry initiatives. To deliver on this mandate, the team partners closely with stakeholder groups from across TD including members of the GTB businesses, GTB technology, Operations, Payments Technology, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and others.

The Project Delivery Lead is accountable to the Program Delivery Lead and has end-to-end responsibility for execution across all Business and Technology aspects of the project. The Project Delivery Lead is accountable for the development of the delivery strategy (delivery operating model and governance), delivery of product roadmap (or the scope as defined by the Business Owner), product release planning and delivery orchestration which includes active management of issues, risks, integrated plan, resource plan, financials and reporting.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Facilitates the breaking down of Product Vision and Product Roadmap into component parts that can be executed through TD Agile or PDLC delivery approaches.

  • Working with business, tech, stakeholders, and other work-stream leads, develops and manages end-to-end project schedules that clearly support the delivery of each scope commitment. For multiple workstreams within a project, develops an integrated schedule at the project level.

  • Structure and manage detailed end-to-end implementation plans, holding stakeholders accountable for progressing against established scope/timelines while providing timely and effective communication on project status, risks, issues, analyses/findings to Program Delivery Lead and senior-level audiences.

  • Able to understand business needs, then guide the scrum teams to capture appropriate epics or stories.

  • Facilitate detailed requirements discussions across stakeholder groups and promote optimal testing plan/strategies alongside project test lead(s).

  • Formulate recommendations regarding delivery/implementation approach after consultation with key stakeholder groups on estimated effort, resource availability, cross-project dependencies and other implementation constraints.

  • Proactively identify and manage cross-stakeholder group interdependencies.

  • Anticipates risks, issues, trends and the potential impacts and timely resolution of impediments, while effectively managing the integrated schedule (releases) and ensuring continuing review and prioritization.

  • Accountable for project delivery artifacts following TD EPDE Standards and Guidelines and establishes governance structures for effective delivery orchestration.

  • Responsible for driving the execution of the project across all domains in order to meet the stated success criteria and product(s) value realization, with explicit consideration to business process, change impacts and the transition from delivery to business as usual.

  • Coordinates with the respective enterprise control partners (e.g., 1B risk and control groups, Enterprise Operational Risk Management (ORM) etc.) to appropriately select, engage and manage external service providers as required.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCES

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead/manage projects with wide breadth of cross-stakeholder impacts and in an agile framework.

  • Experience with Corporate Cash Management, Corporate Treasury, or Transaction Banking is strongly preferred.

  • Superior organizational skills, including ability to employ systematic approach for identifying and tracking dependencies, ensuring proper resolution of outstanding items, and structuring efficient stakeholder meetings/discussions.

  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), including ability to formulate concise and impactful methods of communication.

  • Demonstrated experience of Confluence and JIRA.

  • Experience with formal requirements elicitation, analysis techniques, process design, re-engineering, and implementation.

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently apply expert judgment with available information when proposing solutions/recommendations.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree or equivalent.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certification or actively working towards is preferred.

The Director, Change Delivery-TDS leads, manages, and supports the end-to-end delivery of projects and major strategic and cross-functional initiatives across the dealers that are high in complexity and major in scope.

Depth & Scope:

  • Ensures end-to-end delivery of projects

  • Works in close partnership with all project stakeholders to align plans, timelines, expectations and deliverables to meet project's objectives

  • Uses negotiation and influencing skills to build consensus amongst diverse stakeholder groups to ensure project deliverables are met

  • Ensures projects are delivered based on agreed scope, agreed timeline and approved budget

  • Manages resolution of issues and risks effectively and if required ensures timely escalation of the issues and risks

  • Communicates effectively project status communication to stakeholders

  • Manages project financials and benefits realization

  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project management artifacts as required by project governance standards

  • Considered as a subject matter expert on practices, procedures and principles of project management

  • Manages projects through Project Management Life Cycle including Planning, Execution, Control and Closure of projects

  • Manages / oversees testing deliverables for the project including: testing strategies, planning, preparation and execution activities, review and sign-off of testing documentation

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent

  • 7+ Years of Prior Experience

  • Outstanding record of project management success preferably in Capital Markets, both in results achieved and in use of professional methodology especially using Agile approach

  • Strong project management skills and demonstrated experience

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Pro-active in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk
