Job Description

AECOM/Tishman has an immediate opening for a seasoned Construction Project Accountant to support our ongoing construction projects from our Headquarters in Manhattan.

  • Has advanced knowledge of project accounting, providing support for the most complex and/or large-scale projects.

  • Under general direction, makes recommendations for project improvement based on review of financial results and knowledge of project(s).

  • Research general ledger account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and A/R cash adjustments.

  • Works with customers or clients to gather and provide information.

  • Reviews contracts for additional service opportunities and assist in converting project proposal into project budget.

About Construction Management - AECOM Tishman

We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project, from master-planning, preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making, to design review, estimating, and scheduling, through procurement, construction and occupancy. AECOM Tishman’s staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. In total, AECOM Tishman has built more than 900 million square feet – including the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center in New York.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement:

  • BA/BS Finance, Accounting or similar curriculum and 6 years of experience in construction project accounting or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in the field of construction project accounting.

  • 6-8 years of experience as a construction Project Accountant.

  • Experience managing multiple large construction projects, preferably for a larger General Contractor.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Experience with construction management accounting software.

  • Ability to work independently.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,412.00 - $167,262.00.
