Overview

The Center for Global Affairs is seeking a dynamic program administrator for the MS in Global Security, Conflict and Cybercrime (MSGSCC) and the MS in Global Affairs (MSGA) graduate programs. These primary responsibilities will encompass the following: Provide student advisement and career counseling to new and prospective students in the CGA graduate programs on issues such as curriculum requirements, course selection, registration, withdrawals, and career development. Plan and implement special student programs including prospective student outreach events, new student orientation, career workshops, and speaker roundtables. Provide advisement to student clubs for related programs and events. Coordinate outreach and communications for the CGA graduate community including the creation and distribution of weekly administrative newsletter and updates to the internal student website. Ensure program courses are scheduled, faculty appointed and oriented, and syllabi received. Attend marketing events and information sessions. Oversee the hiring process for all graduate students. Supervise office support staff.



Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Higher Education or International Affairs

Required Experience:
3+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Must include planning an implementing administrative activities and supervising staff.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in an educational environment counseling students.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to market programs, solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Familiarity with current and emerging business trends to effectively recommend programs.



Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $65,835.00 to USD $80,465.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
