Amazon Product Marketing Manager, Amazon Fresh in New York, New York

Description

Interested in working in an innovative and high-impact business that is changing the way customers think about grocery, especially during key seasonal periods? Amazon is looking for a customer-obsessed, and motivated individual to join the Amazon Fresh US Traffic Product Marketing Team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role at Amazon, with a focus on seasonal marketing strategies. The Product Marketing Manager will play a critical role in driving rapid US omni-channel growth by managing owned & operated marketing channel campaigning, with a particular emphasis on seasonal event-specific campaigns. You'll be responsible for driving highly qualified traffic to our online and physical store grocery offerings, tailoring strategies to capitalize on seasonal shopping trends and customer behaviors. This marketing leader will conceive and propose new marketing strategies and concepts, especially those aligned with seasonal events and holidays, and guide those projects through successful testing and scaled execution.

In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate analytical acumen, operational excellence, program management, as well as creative skills: you should have the ability to appropriately use marketing science to inform creative decisions and channel strategies, with a keen understanding of how seasonality affects consumer purchasing patterns.

The right person for this role will have experience with online and offline marketing, making data-driven decisions, and influencing others. They must be able to work at the strategic level (generating bold and innovative ideas for growth) and at the tactical level (managing campaigns with marketing tools, analyzing traffic data and solving problems). Flexibility, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will also be key. Our team culture is goal-oriented, collaborative and driven to achieve results. We seek an individual who is motivated by a fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial environment

Key job responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, build, and execute owned & operated channel marketing seasonal plans, including creative development, targeting segmentation, and campaign performance analysis

  • Optimize owned and operated marketing across competing high priority content pillars, creating cohesive brand messaging for customers.

  • Deeply understand and articulate the target customer; obsessively understand new and competitive products, seasonal trends, and opportunities

  • Understand key traffic drivers (impressions, reach, frequency, clicks, conversion) and how to measure, track, and optimize them to accomplish business goals, document the results, and share best practices across the team.

  • Partner with stakeholders within and outside the team to derive critical insights from Amazon content ranking-engine data and synthesize recommendations to improve campaign performance and reach.

  • Understand how to get the most out of the tools you use to do your job and challenge the existing tool set, successfully working with technical teams to propose and evaluate enhancements that improve efficiency and functionality.

We are also looking for:

  • Ability to translate curiosity into bar-raising experimentation

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects

  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth category environment

  • Attention to detail

  • Demonstrated willingness to roll up your sleeves

About the team

We are an entrepreneurial, customer-obsessed and motivated team, working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly collaborative environment. Our business is more startup than big company, with a high pace and degree of ambiguity. You should be comfortable with change, embrace the opportunity to wear many hats, and relish the chance to solve hard problems in short order.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

  • Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs

  • Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives
