Citigroup Product Manager - Consumer Data Self Service, VP in New York, New York

The Data and Platforms team is launching an innovative self-service data marketplace platform that enables Services teams to Publish, Manage, Find, and Use data in a well-managed way that aligns with data governance and compliance requirements.

The Product Manager - Consumer Data Self-Service, VP is responsible for contributing to the data consumer self-service strategy and for leading Agile software development of capabilities empowering data consumers on our data self-service platform. They will take end-to-end product responsibility for software capabilities and integrations which include asset registration and cataloging, semantic discovery, knowledge management, conversational search, and integration of AI/ML agent use cases into a single user experience. They will work with stakeholders in all lines of business to research pain points, users’ tasks to accomplish, and to translate the business needs into clear product requirements. The product manager will partner with UX researchers and designers to create a compelling user experience, and work with the technology team to develop user stories and manage the delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates a product vision aligned to business priorities, key user needs, and organizational OKRs.

  • Takes holistic "whole product" view, (i.e., orchestrate go-to market, diligence on policy and governance, continuous operational improvement, budget/investment spend, partnerships, API integrations, training, support, etc.).

  • Executes user research, empathy sessions, and work with the UX team to refine our understanding of user personas, their needs, and the relative value and impact of solution to achieve adoption of the self-service solution, increase in user success

  • Research market and competition, develop view on technology trends and best practices and libraries to adopt, or leading solution providers to partner with

  • Develop product roadmap, define deliverables and product features in EPICs with clear business requirements

  • Work with UX and technology teams to translate business requirements into user stories, and oversees timely and quality delivery using Agile methodologies

  • Leads day-to-day product management keeping delivery on track, helping the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results

  • Commercializes newly launched capabilities via marketing communications and events

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience

  • Experience managing across multi-functional teams in Agile, SCRUM model

  • Functional experience in product management, product development of a software solution

  • Experience in data management, data discovery, data cataloging/search, and/or data self-service required

  • Financial services experience, in Cash/Liquidity Management, Payments or Trade Finance a plus

  • Experience in applying large language models and GenAI to search, chat agents, and guided analytics is a plus

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in priorities or requirements

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, in particular adding structure to ambiguity

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar technical field preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
