Company HQ: 4 World Trade Center, 150 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007Job Title: Product Manager, Artist Promotion Machine LearningLocation: Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S. Job Duties: Set the vision and manage the roadmap for machine learning capabilities that address customer problems in ways that meet business goals. Manage the machine learning lifecycle from opportunity identification to data gathering to deployment. Prioritize new problems to solve opportunities based on internal/external customer needs, business impact potential, and technical costs. Work closely with PMs, Sales, and Product Insights teams to understand their needs and identify machine learning investments that will unlock the most value. Define success metrics that measure customer impact and business value, as well as parameters that enable engineers and data scientists to scope machine learning solutions. Demonstrate and help instill machine learning product strategy and best practices across our teams. Ensure the team has a healthy balance of innovation, while reducing technical debt and providing maintenance and support. Help our artist clients set the right campaign budgets to achieve their marketing goals. Help our artist clients make decisions about which content to promote to achieve specific audience growth outcomes. Determine which Spotify listeners to show promotions to best achieve a specific artist's marketing goal. *Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.Job requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Management Science & Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of experience in IT project management, data science and/or business analysis role. Must have experience with: implementing machine learning models in customer-facing features; applying machine learning techniques in the Marketing Technology space; leading cross-functional teams implementing machine learning models in production in customer-facing features; guiding a team through the machine learning lifecycle from goal setting to data gathering to deployment, measurement & iteration; demonstrating and helping to instill machine learning product strategy and best practices across teams; setting goals, rallying a cross functional group around a vision or initiative, and driving consensus among a wide array of collaborators; leading internal presentations and meetings to enable machine learning product discovery and requirements gathering; gathering, mining, and using quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions about product scope; defining and prioritizing machine-learning based product applications that balance end customer impact, business value, and technical complexity; setting success metrics for machine learning teams that reflect the impact of their machine learning solutions on business + customer outcomes, and that incentivize iterative development with impact at each stage; and building and holding stakeholders accountable to a project roadmap for a data initiative with clear milestones and timelines.
