About the Team

The Digital Transformation team is committed to making higher education accessible to every student. As part of the larger AP and Instruction Department, we are a strong and collaborative team of 30+ of product owners, product managers, content experts, and product development professionals responsible for managing a portfolio of digital assessment and instructional products and leading the work to transition paper assessment programs to the College Board's digital assessment platform. We collaborate closely with colleagues in technology, user experience, operations, assessment design and development, psychometrics and program management to design and develop digital solutions that meet the needs of our users.

About the Opportunity

As the Platform Partnerships & Research Specialist, K-12 Digital Assessments, you are a motivated, proactive leader who operates with excitement in managing details, thinking creatively, analyzing data, and getting things done. You'll leverage your knowledge of K-12 assessments to build a deep understanding of the digital assessment product and technology market, cultivate and manage external partnerships that support and enhance our digital testing platform, and define, analyze and track key metrics and performance indicators to drive product success and inform the product development roadmap. You are inquisitive and possess tremendous learning agility. You'll identify and bring insights on industry trends, competitor platforms, and market data to the product development team to guide design and prioritization of enhancements to our digital testing platform. You'll seek out and evaluate new 3rd party partnerships that enable the platform to meet business needs. As the product team's liaison with current partners, you'll keep both sides informed of upcoming needs and impacts of changes to ensure ongoing smooth delivery.

In this role, you will:

Product & Technology Partnership Management - 35%

  • Manage and build on existing partnerships: Ensure ongoing collaboration and satisfaction with current platform partners
  • Identify and secure new platform partnerships: Lead exploration and evaluation of potential new partnerships to support business and platform goals
  • Facilitate communication: Manage ongoing communication with external product and technology partners. Act as a liaison between partners and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Tracks updates: Track ongoing updates to partner technology and new operating system releases. Communicate details to product team including upcoming timelines and release notes
  • Reporting: Provide regular status updates to the product development team, technology and other internal stakeholders
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with legal, procurement and product development teams to develop and execute contracts with third-party partners.

Market Research & Analysis - 35%
  • Market Awareness: Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the digital assessment technology market including the competitive landscape, industry trends, customer needs and market requirements
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research and maintain a competitive analysis of other digital assessment delivery platforms and solutions to inform product strategy, new feature design, and positioning
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to product development teams
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, product owners, and technology to align research findings with business objectives

Product Metrics and Key Performance Indicators - 30%
  • Performance Metrics: Proactively identify, define, measure, and communicate Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the digital testing platform that drive action focused on outcomes vs. outputs
  • Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze data to track product performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to product development teams
  • Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and other tools to visualize and communicate product performance against goals and metrics to stakeholders
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams in product development and technology to ensure alignment on metrics and data-driven decision making
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and refine metrics to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with business goals

About You

You have:
  • 5+ years' experience in educational technology, with a strong focus on K-12 digital assessment
  • Strong understanding of product and/or program delivery with experience working in an Agile product development environment
  • Exceptional relationship building skills with experience collaborating with internal and external partners, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience in market research and data analysis, preferably in the product management domain
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, coupled with a proactive approach to communication
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, and the ability to analyze complex data sets to identify key insights
  • A customer-focused and organizationally aware mindset
  • Authorization to work in the United States

About Our Process

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $84,000 to $140,000. College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary.

Your salary will be carefully determined based on your location, relevant experience, the external labor market, and the pay of College Board employees in similar roles. College Board strives to provide our best offer up front based on this criteria.
