Morgan Stanley PC&E - Research Specialist - Executive Director in New York, New York

Private Credit & Equity (PC&E) consists of a range of private equity and private credit strategies collectively managing approx. $50Bn of AUM. We are searching for a specialist focusing on analysis, research and content development across a broad range of topics affecting the private equity and private credit asset classes.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Analyze private equity and private credit industry trends and identify implications on market and sector strategies

· Produce and publish articles, white papers and thought leadership pieces on a semi-regular basis, including regular posts on MS-branded social media

· Author regular research reports including periodic Fund investor communications and internal research products

· Work with investment teams to integrate market research into investment decisions and strategy as appropriate

· Conduct analysis to help address specific client inquiries related to global markets / research topics

· Participate in ad hoc analyses

· Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics or Finance

· 8 years of private equity, private credit, research, investment banking or capital markets experience

· Strong analytical and financial skills

· Technical expertise, including abilities to build and maintain advanced financial models, analyze drivers of private markets performance, including statistical analysis, and risk analysis

· Strong oral and written presentation and communication skills

· Consultancy skills, including creative thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply value creating insights to client decision-making processes

· Ability to work within a team and under tight deadlines

· High commitment, results-oriented, strong self-motivation, and proactive

· Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks

· Ability to build excellent relationships with clients and investment teams

_Wage Transparency Statement:_ Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $225,000 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
