Position supports a Major Financial Client in New York. The position will be responsible for the process within the globally managed portfolio of mission critical offices and branch offices locations. The Operation Analyst (OA) will coordinate with other Analysts to ensure global coverage of mechanical and electrical infrastructures supporting these locations. (OA) assures execution of program processes and management frameworks. Position requires excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. In addition an extensive knowledge of facilities monitoring systems, computer software applications (including all products in the Microsoft Office Suite) is required. Must be able to use sound judgement and discretion and must demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism and initiative to drive the organizational process. Must be able to initiate and complete projects independently, accurately and often under deadline pressure. Must have the ability to process, prioritize, assign and follow-up on requests.Job Description
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Global Operations Center (GOC) is staffed regionally in accordance with global coverage requirements. The operation coordinates with its partner region to assure 24x7 coverage.
- Represent the client's real estate presence with (GOC) command center. Coordinate activities with Group Operations & Technology Office(GOTO) counterparts to assure constant and informed global support.
- Access all available notification tools and devices that support Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) environments including building management systems (BMS), electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS), Environet and available facilities/colocation dashboards.
- During an incident, verify that regional real estate teams are engaged in remediation efforts. Initiate notifications, prompt updates and where required distribute updates to incidents.
- Manage updates to and assure that programs activities follow the incident & escalation framework.
- Assure that risks, problems and events resulting from incidents are identified and followed by regions.
- Assure that associated documentation related to MCF Operations is current, accurate and available.
- During service impacting data center events, organize conference bridges and assure coordination between GOTO and real estate group.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Preferred four year degree from accredited university/collage with degree in Engineering, Information Management or Engineering Management.
- Three years' experience in information/engineering management, command or operations center or closely related fields with good references.
- Proficiency of Building Management Systems and remote monitoring systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to consistently develop accurate periodic reports, under client defined critical deadlines.
- Time management, multi-tasking, and organization skills with strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter and must be able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment.
- Off hour and weekend availability is a requirement to manage the 24 x 7 process.
PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel from floor to floor and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be regularly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time; regularly use hands to operate office machinery including, but not limited to, telephones, computers, fax, and photocopy machines; regularly required to walk, talk, and hear.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
