Job Description

The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) is the largest Fire Department in the United States and universally is recognized as the world's busiest and most highly skilled emergency response agency. The Fire Department, City of New York (FDNY) seeks a full time Member Service Representative in the Bureau of Health Services (BHS) within World Trade Center Health Program (WTCHP). Reporting directly to the immediate supervisor, the successful candidate will: Schedule all retiree WTC monitoring exams. Answer member telephone inquiries regarding the WTC Medical Program. Follow protocols to provide correct answers, to log standardized details of all calls, to identify and resolve member Program problems, to follow up until satisfactory solutions are found. Follow protocols to manage properly the electronic collection of information. Assist in evaluating and monitoring the needs of the service population, identify any unmet needs, and assist in enhancement of resources to meet these needs. Perform other similar tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements

  1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or

  2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
