Citigroup Markets Program Execution Director in New York, New York

The Markets Program Execution & Transformation team works with all Markets businesses and Citi functions, including Legal, Compliance, Finance, Risk and O&T to identify, mobilize and execute responses to regulatory and cross-business transformational projects. The primary mission of the team is to design and implement integrated solutions and sustainable capabilities in the most efficient and effective way for Markets and its clients.

Examples of major programs that Markets Program Execution & Transformation currently (or recently) manage include: Brexit; Dodd-Frank Title VII; EMIR/Re-Fit; FRTB; IBOR Transition; Markets Conduct Risk; MiFID / MiFIR; Resolution Stay Rules; and multiple specific APAC/EMEA/NAM Regulations.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and priorities will reflect needs of the specific programs and will evolve over time, however the following are some of the activities and responsibilities expected of this role:

• Accountable for the successful delivery of programs / projects in the Markets Program Execution & Transformation book of work

• Manage complex, time sensitive, business critical programs / projects across multiple sales / trading desks and functions, including Risk, Legal, Finance, Technology, Operations, and Compliance.

• Proactively identify and resolve delivery problems. Identify, prioritize and proactively manage dependencies, risks, exceptions and issues

• Provide content-led program / project management to lead teams of subject matter experts to design and implement solutions. Matrix manage teams across businesses/functions to successfully deliver programs / projects

• Manage projects to remediate data completeness and accuracy and implement data controls; design and oversee data analyses to make data-driven decisions.

• Lead the creation, design and implementation of trading desk business processes, supporting documentation and Quality Assurance (QA) deliverables taking into account the detailed trading activity of trading desks across all asset classes and market sectors

• Contribute to the design and delivery of Front Office training plans and materials, present training to small and large groups as required

• Lead, supervise, coach and develop junior Markets Program Execution & Transformation team members.

• Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders of varying seniority and and external stakeholders, including clients and regulators

• Develop and deliver presentations to Markets Program Execution & Transformation and senior management covering project / program status and plans

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• Demonstrable experience

  • Content-led program / project management of complex work efforts in a Markets business with broad sets of stakeholders; ability to gain consensus among project team and stakeholders, and drive initiatives to completion effectively

  • Running high impact projects / programs under tight timelines as a consultant or in an internal change group

  • Proactively identifying and resolving delivery problems.Identify, prioritize and proactively manage dependencies, risks, exceptions and issues

  • Leading teams of subject matter experts to design and implement solutions

  • Expertise and hands-on experience designing and implementing structured business/operational processes and business requirements documentation

  • Managing remediation of data completeness and accuracy; implementing data controls; designing and overseeing data analyses; making data-driven decisions.

• Demonstrable skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail

  • Management and facilitation to achieve objectives, with both local and with remote teams

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills across levels of seniority to mobilize and motivate delivery in a co-operative and collaborative working environment across trading and support/infrastructure/control functions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to effectively produce procedural documentation and communicate with senior management.

  • Communicating complex topics to various stakeholders to drive delivery, and risk and issue resolution.Ability to seamlessly communicate complex technical issues to non-technical colleagues

• Knowledge

  • Knowledge of, and experience in, analyzing legislative and regulatory texts, and associated legal analysis

  • Knowledge of global markets trading products (Fixed Income, Equity, Currencies & Commodities) and/or securities services (Prime, Collateral, Clearing, Custody, Fund Services)

  • Understanding of Front Office trading processes across the full trade lifecycle within a large bank/dealer

  • Understanding of the development and application of project standards

  • Knowledge and experience with structured project management techniques in a Markets Front Office environment

Qualifications:

• College/university degree education preferred

• 15+ years appropriate industry knowledge & delivery track record is essential.

$200,000.00 - $300,000.00
