Background

The role of an Enterprise Architect within Adobe's Professional Services Team is to be the technology lead on our customer engagements. Our Architects have experience and expertise across enterprise marketing technology solutions, data, and integrations with other enterprise platforms. The Architect's technical leadership, experience, and strategy will guide cross-functional project teams through definition, deployment, and optimization stages of Adobe Consulting engagements to ensure customer success.

The Opportunity

As a Managing Principal Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for managing a small team of the industry's best and most dedicated enterprise architects while also practicing as an Enterprise Architect and leading implementations yourself for a few strategic customers. You will drive continuous professional services process improvement and efficiency while holding our high standards for delivery quality. You will recruit and develop architects and be accountable for productivity goals to ensure target achievement. You will support client success through direct and indirect client engagement. You will also help develop a culture of innovation, technology excellence, and architectural discipline, and serve as a strong champion for change.

What You'll Do

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, recruit, and mentor a team of Enterprise Architects and thus ensure customer success through quality in consulting delivery
  • Support client escalations by guiding and coaching your team members to ensure proper communication, prioritization, and ownership throughout the experience
  • Organize and conduct enablement sessions to strengthen team with respect to both technical and role-based proficiencies
  • Lead and inspire the team with positivity and optimism, creating a culture of high expectations, innovation, and achievement
  • Drive continuous improvement of consulting delivery processes, standards, and practices, driving customer excellence
  • Meet and exceed team goals around customer outcomes, customer facing utilization, consulting revenue, and margin as well as drive operational excellence
  • Proactively collaborate across Adobe including Customer Success, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Technical Operations, and other internal Adobe teams

Enterprise Architecture:

  • Represent Adobe Consulting as the lead Architect for key accounts, defining the solution strategy & architecture and lead the overall implementation for Adobe Solutions
  • Bring deep knowledge of digital experience and marketing technology to align enterprise solution architecture to business strategy
  • Have relevant experience focused on technical delivery and have excellent executive presence
  • Identify key business drivers and technology capabilities required to achieve optimal state
  • Understand the current state of the organization-wide architecture and assess marketing capabilities
  • Recommend the future state of technology architecture across the organization
  • Coordinate with stakeholder teams and own the conversation to define use cases, goals, objectives, and architecture to support the business needs
  • Ensure alignment between business strategy, information technology roadmap, and technical and tactical deployment teams
  • Build system and application architectures to achieve defined digital experience and business needs
  • Engage and evangelize recommendations to executive and senior leadership teams
  • Work closely with and act as a liaison between key business, and IT experts during entire engagement
  • Grow Adobe's architecture practice and share on-the-ground customer feedback with product engineering and product managers to improve product capabilities

What You Need to Succeed

  • 5+ years of experience as an enterprise, solution, or application architect; systems integrator; consultant; or equivalent experience
  • Preferred 3+ years of experience leading consulting teams, including remote-based delivery of technical solutions
  • Track record of delivering successful Enterprise or Solution/Application integrations, with digital marketing tools and systems related to big data, analytics, testing & optimization, personalization, and activation
  • Proven experience in creating architecture best practices, technical diagrams, capability maps, current/future roadmaps, and related technical topics
  • Executive leadership skills including the ability to coach, mentor, influence, and empower a diverse and high-performing team to maximize results.
  • Ability to communicate, coordinate, and drive optimal revenue, team productivity, and margin performance.
  • Ability to interact and communicate for impact and change within all levels of an organization both internally and externally, including business and technical stakeholders
  • Confident ability to lead, collaborate, triage, and make decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong experience in negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $187,200 -- $328,600 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
