The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Director, Building Services and Operations, the Manager of Building Services & Operations is responsible for assisting with the oversight of the maintenance of a physical plant approximately 300,000 SF in (7) locations in addition to supporting the day to day operations of the Law School Information Center. This person will provide support to the Director, Building Services in a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: administrative and functional support with event request setups, facilities management, mailroom, courier, and requests related to Law School events. They will also be responsible for the Law School off campus and residential portfolio, ensuring building maintenance and repairs are accomplished on a timely and regular basis.Responsibilities- Assist the Director with overseeing the daily operations of the Law School campus and off-campus buildings, including the Infocenter services.- As needed, assists the Infocenter staff with event setup, mailroom services, fix-it requests, and work orders in Maximo to ensure timely service fulfillment.- Acts as backup to the Director in providing direction to the Law School custodial and maintenance teams regarding routine responsibilities.- Provides ServiceNow support and maintains status of requested services.- Provides general information by phone and/or in-person to faculty, staff, students, visitors, and others; redirecting emergency calls as appropriate.- Assists with special projects assigned to Building Services and performs additional responsibilities as needed.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or related work experience required. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience, as well as an understanding of building systems and maintenance. Experience with ServiceNow is preferred. Ability/willingness to learn all of our [in-house] software applications. Incumbent must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Must be professional and service-oriented and capable of working with a diversity of people in a high-volume fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and handling emergencies simultaneously. Must be able to work under pressure to achieve required results quickly as well as being available for projects before and after regular work hours when needed.
