Maintenance Electrician-Mount Sinai Morningside

Provides maintenance, service and preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Makes connections to new electrical installations, removes and replaces defective wiring and conduits

• Tests circuits to comply with safety regulations, written and oral instructions

• Cleans and makes minor repairs to motors and electrical fixtures, both high and low voltages

• Installs and maintains electrical communication and generator systems and equipment according to standard practice of trade and safety regulations set up by State and local governments

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

• Vocational or High School degree.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience.

IUOE at Saint Luke's and West (Engineers), BHD - Engineering Facilities Management - STL, Mount Sinai St. Luke's

REQUIRED SKILLS

Inspect Electrical Closets for general cleanliness and ensure panel directories are correct

Microsoft Office Suite

Must be able to climb catwalks and ladders and be able to lift minimum of 50 pounds

Perform electrical shutdowns and work with other trades to make repairs.

Performs ATS inspections/tests, weekly generator tests, and monthly power test.

Troubleshoots electrical issues with any of the mechanical systems on site; pumps, compressors, boilers, generators, AHUs, and fans

Works with and understands all high voltage systems and associated switchgear
