Inventory Technician

Full-Time

Duties And Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining required par levels of implants and surgical supplies for Ambulatory Surgery Center. Assists departmental leadership in collaborating with surgical and supply chain staff to maintain programs and processes designed to ensure compliance of service delivery standards. Acts as a liaison in effectively communicating with the surgical team and stakeholders.

  • Assist in managing the flow of surgical supplies; utilizing electronic inventory systemsCheck inventory levels of surgical supplies in designated storage areas and report findings to the supervisor

  • Receive shipments of surgical supplies according to the vendor’s packing slip and report discrepancies to the supervisor

  • Place new shipments of surgical supplies in their designated storage area

  • Restock surgical supplies, according to established par levels

  • Dispose of all waste generated (primarily cardboard boxes)

  • Utilize Vocera by responding and addressing the client’s needs/concerns in a timely fashion

Qualifications

Skills and abilities

Skills: Possess a sense of urgency and a proactive customer service philosophy. Have good oral and written communication skills.

Experience:

Experience in inventory management. Experience with surgical supplies preferred.

Physical requirements: Able to perform moderate to heavy lifting

Education:

High School diploma required

Associates Degree in Business preferred

Other Requirements

Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20 to 50 lbs)

Pay Range - Minimum

USD $29.00/Hr.

Pay Range - Maximum

USD $30.00/Hr.
