Robert Half Hedge Fund Accountant in New York, New York

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Fund Accountant in New York. This role primarily focuses on the financial reporting and reconciliation of hedge fund accounts. The successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities spanning from daily cash reconciliations to month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cash reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Calculate Net Asset Values (NAV) to determine the total value of a fund.

• Reconcile bank debt to maintain accurate financial records.

• Apply knowledge of various financial products such as stocks, bonds, options, equity swaps, and credit default swaps.

• Utilize Advent Geneva and other accounting software systems to streamline accounting functions.

• Collaborate with service providers like Morgan Stanley Fund services to enhance fund operations.

• Leverage strong Excel skills to perform complex financial analysis and reporting.

• Monitor and manage corporate actions to ensure accurate fund valuation.

• Oversee cash activity and capital management to optimize fund performance.

• Conduct auditing activities to ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain fund integrity. Requirements
