What the day will look like

Reporting to the Global Benefits (GB) North America Leader, this is a great career opportunity that offers diversified leadership, project and client exposure.

  • Ensure the successful delivery of GB consulting projects across the US, Canada and Latin America working with the relevant subject matter experts and delivery teams as appropriate.

  • Help to shape the business strategy and growth of the North America market.

  • Lead the development of the various GB consulting proposition areas and take global responsibility for at least one area ensuring that Aon has a differentiated suite of consulting solutions.

  • Work closely with North American GB leadership to ensure appropriate consulting resources are available and play an active role in recruitment and career development.

  • Be seen across Aon as a leader in the GB field and the “go-to” person for early stage prospect and client discovery meetings.

  • Play a leading role in winning new GB management (or global broking) appointments with a direct contribution towards annual sales.

  • Play a leading role in developing GB thought leadership for Aon and represent Aon at various internal and external marketing events.

  • Lead large client relationships and complex projects including: guide end-to-end project delivery, fee setting, revenue projections, key deliverables, and provide technical expertise.

  • Aon United – partner with all Aon solution lines resources to promote GB and develop new business.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Priority will be given to candidates with a minimum of 10 plus years of international or non‐US benefits experience in an HR consulting firm or professional services firm.

  • Direct experience on managing a team of experienced consultants.

  • Demonstrated consultative skills to effectively work in a cohesive team environment as well as the ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external parties.

  • Strong management and analytical ability, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.

  • Demonstrated interest in the global environment, other cultures, and language

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent years of industry experience. Advanced degree or project management certification is preferred.

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $240,000 to $300,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

    Aon offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and regular part-time colleagues, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions; an employee stock purchase plan; consideration for long-term incentive awards at Aon’s discretion; medical, dental and vision insurance. This role does not accrue vacation. Rather, this role is eligible to take paid time off at the discretion of the employee and management in accordance with Company policy and practices.
