Job Summary
The department provides Funds Transfer Support for Flagstar Bank. It services the Private Client Groups, Financial Centers, Treasury, Loan Department, Bank Operations and other bank departments. Funds Transfer services include Incoming and Outgoing Fedwire payment processing and Internal Book Transfer processing.

Pay Range: $19.85 - $28.15 - $36.46

Job Responsibilities:

  • Outgoing Fedwire payment processing.
  • Manual data entry, repair and approval of payment instructions.
  • Special handling of PCG initiated wires approved by Senior Management. Processing of Senior Management approved wires.
  • Control, response and resolution of FT related inquiries from PCGs and other departments.
  • Process Fedwire 1031 Drawdowns.
  • Reconciliation of Manuals and Treasury Payments.
  • Testing new payment system.
  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.


Job Qualifications:
  • Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent and two years of related experience.
  • Minimum experience required: 3 years of Funds Transfer or SWIFT related experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and understanding of payment terminology are required.
  • Knowledge of Fedwire, SWIFT, OFAC, Fraud Prevention and Cash Management systems. Knowledge of EPP, PAYplus, or similar wire transfer systems (preferred).
  • Must have strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize work based on internal and external feedback.
  • Must be good at working as part of a team and comfortable at interacting with other areas of the Bank.
  • Must be able to adapt in the fast-paced environment.
