POSITION DETAILS

The Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy (CUNY SPH) is dedicated to providing cutting edge graduate degree programs and to identifying, designing, implementing and evaluating public health initiatives that promote social justice. Faculty and students are actively engaged in promoting healthy cities in a healthy world. CUNY SPH is located in a new vertical campus in the heart of Harlem in New York City.

CUNY SPH Office of the Bursar is seeking to hire an Enrollment Bursar Coordinator (EBC) to assist in the day-to-day bursar activities. The EBC will report directly to the Bursar Director and will be responsible for collecting and cashiering payments, assist in overseeing all aspects of students' refunds, providing Bursar information, instructions and material as requested by students, faculty, other departments, and external organizations.

The EBC will monitor Bursar e-mail account and phones calls. Assist in data entry including assigning accounts to third party contracts; generating student bills and TPC invoice processing and analyzing all students' financial assistance covering their balance. The EBC will assist in compiling data reports for collection and other bursar activities; assist in communication to our constituents via e-mail blast and US postal mailings. Update lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department website and maintain department archives.

QUALIFICATIONS

­Bachelor's Degree required.

· Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills

· Self-motivated, customer-service oriented, and the ability to multi-task

· Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and accounts receivable

CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW

Provides operational support for a College student accounts function.

  • Performs processing, collection, reconciliation and maintenance of student receivables

  • Counsels students in meeting college financial obligations including current tuition, prior receivables and methods of payment; responds to student account inquiries

  • Maintains revenue files; prepares reports as required

  • Assists in the review of student accounts; identifies and reports delinquent accounts

  • May assist in the evaluation and verification of student eligibility for various loans and grants

  • Provides support to ensure the smooth flow of business operations and completion of required administrative tasks within the office; may supervise clerical and/or part-time staff

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary Range: $44,411 - $70,541 per annum

Salary commensurate with education and experience.
