ConEdison Engineering Supervisor - Gas Engineering Transmission Major Projects in New York, New York

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and two years of full-time work experience in Engineering or Operations.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Minimum of two years of work experience in Engineering or Operations, required.

  • Knowledge of computer applications, required.

  • Supervisory experience, preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.

  • Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines

Licenses and Certifications

  • Driver's License Required

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work with, and in, the vicinity of high voltage and/or other high-energy systems

  • Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses

Additional Physical Demands

  • Ability to read small print and symbols

  • Must travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies

  • Must be able and willing to drive within Company service territory as needed

  • Must be able to work additional hours and or rotating shifts as operational needs and/or system emergencies dictate

  • Work in an office environment including sitting, bending and extensive computer work required

  • Must respond to system emergencies

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers
