Graduate Program Overview

The CRB Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a non-rotational two-year-program that provides the opportunity to develop a broad knowledge base, varied skills, and diverse network. This program is designed to set you up with a holistic view of CRB with hands-on experience, insight, and opportunities to make an impact and shape your own career.

GDP participants will be immersed in a 1-week-in-person orientation followed by a robust onboarding training learning about various functions within CRB. Our program is designed to provide graduates with a well-rounded understanding of the industry while having the opportunity to deep dive within their respective business area.

Insurance Solutions Overview

Verita is an independent managing general underwriter (MGU) that specializes in underwriting and

delivering superior claims, handling comprehensive engineering and loss control best practices, and

bespoke risk management solutions to best in class insured clients in targeted industries. Utilizing partner fronting carrier/s and solid (re) insurers, capital providers and institutional investors, Verita aims to be the carrier of choice in its targeted industries. A role in insurance solutions is suited to individuals who value underwriting technical knowledge and building strategic relationships with brokers and insureds. Individuals must be self- motivated, have excellent communications skills and enjoy success within a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and maintenance of new and existing models

  • Work with the underwriting team on deals and participate in meetings.

  • Assists with data collection and review to support pricing studies that monitor the profitability of products.

  • Handle numerous data and report requests relating to regulatory, rating agency and financial reporting needs.

  • Communicate results, analysis, and recommendations in a manner that is understandable

  • Maintain reports and dashboards to support proactive claims monitoring and loss control initiatives.

Role requirements.

Education and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA

  • Date of Graduation between May 2024 – May 2025

  • Preferred Majors: Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science; all majors with a strong quantitative background

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Competencies:

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Excellent presentation skills, analytically driven and detail oriented

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in time management

  • Comfortable working in a team setting or independently

Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are included in accordance with the requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation :

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $75,000 – 85,000 USD. This role is also eligible for overtime.
