Citigroup Director, Securities Services Sales in New York, New York

North America Securities Services Sales is seeking a seasoned client coverage / relationship salesperson to be responsible for: (1) overseeing the strategic direction of large relationships with bank, broker-dealer, and other financial intermediary clients; (2) growing commercial relationships with such clients; and (3) identifying / pursuing prospective clients of the firm’s Securities Services business.

Responsibilities:

  • Deeply understand and be able to articulate your clients’ corporate and product strategies, organizational structure, financials, and all recent organizational developments

  • Navigate and build relationships cross-functionally and across all lines-of-business within client organizations, to identify and monetize opportunities for commercial growth (including with bank-affiliated asset managers)

  • Identify opportunities to enhance relationship profitability, where applicable

  • Leverage a robust understanding of the financial intermediary client base to identify emerging needs for solution sets and work with internal partners including Product Management and Client Solutions to deliver solutions to identified business needs

  • Coordinate closely with Account Management / Client Service to remain abreast of, escalate, and captain resolution of hurdles to client satisfaction

  • Identify, own, escalate and mitigate all risks derived from the client and deal management process, including market, credit, operational, compliance, and reputational risks (this includes responsibility for the AML/KYC and credit approval processes)

  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in relationship management or relationship sales

  • Strong knowledge of Custody, Fund Services, and Execution Services businesses, including custody FX, agency securities lending, and outsourced liquidity management solutions

  • Deep understanding of clients’ short-term liquidity management needs and applicability of Citi’s solutions

  • Working knowledge of industry trends and client needs across the financial intermediary segment, including banks, broker-dealers, wealth managers, clearinghouses, FCMs, and custodians

  • Ability to network within client organizations and develop relationships with decision makers and influencers across various functional areas

  • Proven analytical and organizational skills, including strong deal economics acumen

  • Ability to build strong internal partnerships across Citi’s business lines, including Banking, and with key internal constituents including Securities Services Product, Legal, and Risk teams

  • Demonstration of clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Keen risk and control awareness / focus

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$200,000.00 - $300,000.00
