Job Description

The Chief of Staff position is responsible for driving operational and coordination efforts for the EVP, Global Communications and Global Public Affairs. The role works directly with EVP to plan and direct all administrative and operational activities for the function.

The Chief of Staff will organize and prioritize critical and key day-to-day issues and requests for and from the EVP to facilitate decision making and moving tasks forward. As needed, the Chief of Staff acts as a point of contact to the EVP. The position will provide connection to members of the Leadership team, HR and other key stakeholders across the organization.

Serve as a Chief of Staff to the EVP, Global Communications & Public Affairs, planning and directing all operational work for the EVP and collaborating with the team on all strategic initiatives

Translate EVP requests into deliverables for leadership team, stakeholders; communicate EVP’s priorities, activities, and results to the team and organization, while ensuring deliverables are met

Partner with teams on behalf of EVP to ensure sharing of information and timely deliverables

Prepare EVP for priority meetings, coordinating across team and company to develop materials, including agendas, talking points, and presentations.

Work closely with Leadership Team to ensure that the EVP is informed to make key decisions in a timely manner

Work with Executive Assistant to manage the EVP’s calendar and assess opportunities in respect to priorities, organize meaningful leadership meetings to drive work globally.

Share important and relevant information as it impacts other team members or stakeholders

Long Description

Project Management and Budget Oversight

Oversee critical projects and presentations including Global Communications and Global Public Affairs Strategy.

Work closely with Leadership team on priority areas, reporting to and briefing the EVP.

Project manage presentations and other critical deliverables, ensuring all key stakeholders / teams are connected and aligned while working against a tight timeline

Work with Finance and HR Business Partners on budget oversight including agency, project expenses, resourcing needed

Support the EVP in driving leadership alignment and culture building within and across the Global Communications & Public Affairs teams

Partner with EVP, HR and leadership to develop an engaged department culture

Work closely with HR and EVP on a functional talent strategy

Drive priorities of the EVP and shape agendas for department town halls, key leadership meetings, offsites, etc. and identify opportunities to increase team effectiveness

Qualifications and Key Competencies

High emotional intelligence with ability to navigate complex relationships 

Collaborative and clear communication skills with the ability to build relationships across levels and teams; demonstrated experience in partnering well with others and driving projects to completion

Strong judgment for problem solving, asks thoughtful and tough questions, including anticipated questions from executives or audiences

Excellent organizational skills across multiple work streams/disciplines with the ability to plan and anticipate deadlines and deliverables while coordinating with various members team to close out tasks/projects.

Understands when to escalate issues and escalates issues appropriately and respectfully

Must be fluent in PowerPoint, excel and able to convey storytelling through these vehicles

Strong project manager, inclusively convening relevant stakeholders 

Strong writing skills needed, with prior experience authoring and editing memorandum

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $160,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
