Meta Director & Associate General Counsel, Global Litigation Strategy in New York, New York
Summary:
Meta is seeking an experienced and motivated attorney to help shape the future of our Global Litigation Strategy team. As a key player in this newly formed team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing innovative strategies to address complex litigation and regulatory enforcement challenges worldwide. With a focus on providing forward-thinking advice and counsel, you will drive the company's approach to managing its regulatory and litigation dockets across the United States and abroad, tackling a diverse range of critical issues including engagement with governments, product liability litigation, privacy, security, consumer protection and more. This role will report to VP, Head of Global Litigation Strategy.

Director & Associate General Counsel, Global Litigation Strategy Responsibilities:
Thorough and Strategic Analysis: Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s high-stakes litigation, regulatory inquiries, and disputes, working with outside counsel as needed
Drive Strategic Resolution: Develop and execute innovative strategies to resolve complex litigation, regulatory inquiries, and investigations, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives
Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with public policy, product, and communications teams to develop and implement forward-thinking regulatory and policy strategies that address critical business issues and drive positive outcomes
Identify and Escalate Key Risks: Proactively identify and escalate potential litigation, regulatory strategy, and enforcement risk concerns to legal and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective mitigation
Minimum Qualifications:

J.D. degree and membership in at least one US state bar
12+ years of experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house with experience representing companies in litigation and/or regulatory inquiries
Demonstrated experience thinking strategically to solve legal challenges
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and effective communicator

Public Compensation:
$274,000/year to $352,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
