Bloomberg’s social video team is seeking a video producer with experience in social video creation and distribution.

THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE, RESPONSIBLE FOR TWO TASKS:

To support Bloomberg’s podcast portfolio via social videos, and 2) to cover breaking news video and support Bloomberg Digital’s weekend initiative on Saturday and Sunday. You will be working Wed-Sunday. You are the right candidate if you can create social-first content that is smart and sparks conversation and you have strong news judgment. On the podcast front, you will be responsible for identifying top moments in our roster of podcasts and developing innovative ways to promote them using video across our various platforms. You will also work closely with the talent and production teams of Bloomberg Podcasts to develop creative, original social media videos. You should be able to quickly edit short-form video content made specifically for each of our platforms.

On the weekend (Sat-Sun) you will play a more general role in helping create, cut, and distribute original and news video across all of Bloomberg Digital’s footprint, including on our website and off platform on social.

WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:

• Produce and edit engaging video content

• Help manage video distribution on Bloomberg social media accounts (Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Apple News, Snapchat, TikTok…)

• Work directly with Bloomberg Podcasts production teams to produce social-first content

• Cut and distribute news video across the network of Bloomberg.com, including curation in stories, on homepages, and on social

YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:

• 5+ years of proven experience as a social media editor in a digital news or broadcast environment

• Strong editorial judgment - Experience working with on-camera talent

• Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills

• Video editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro; a firm grasp of complementary Adobe Creative Cloud software including Photoshop

Salary Range: 50 - 55 USD Hourly

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
