Robert Half Customer Service Coordinator in New York, New York

Description We are in search of a meticulous and customer-service-oriented individual for the role of Customer Support Coordinator, located in New York. This position is in the Dispatch/Customer Service industry and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The successful candidate will be tasked with duties such as scanning paperwork, assisting couriers, email correspondence, and understanding of NY city roads and streets for efficient dispatching.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately scan and organize paperwork

• Assist couriers and address their issues and concerns

• Handle email correspondence effectively

• Understand New York City roads and streets for efficient dispatching

• Monitor and ensure all routes are covered and communicated to the customer

• Communicate any delays and/or problems to the Dispatch department

• Inspect vehicles to ensure customer specifications are met

• Ensure compliance with log in process and ec-mobile compliance

• Work directly with drivers to resolve any problems on the road

• Assist with contracting of additional drivers

• Ensure that all drivers paperwork is up to date

• Ensure all drivers are in uniform with visible ID badge Requirements • Prior experience of at least 2 years in a customer service role is necessary

• Proficiency in document scanning and printing is expected

• Strong written communication skills for effective email correspondence

• Ability to resolve customer service issues promptly and efficiently

• Previous experience in dispatching will be advantageous

• Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to build rapport and trust with customers

• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or qualifications in a relevant field will be a plus

• Proficiency in using computers and customer service software

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment

• Fluency in English; knowledge of a second language will be a plus.
