Security personnel are to be certified and trained and will be assigned a variety of standing, sitting and walking posts.
Expected Responsibilities:
Credentials' "check-in" vehicles and drivers as they arrive at the WTC site using information provided in
advance from the admin/data entry staff. The prime function of the credential's is to assume a
customer service / concierge role; greeting drivers as they arrive at the site and assisting in the smooth
and orderly processing of vehicles into the WTC
a. Credentials' will greet the driver of the vehicle they wish to check in and request their
driver's license.
b. Credentials' will scan the driver's license using a handheld device.
c. Credentials' will use the handheld device to check that the driver and vehicle are on the
Site-wide vehicle schedule.
d. If vehicle/driver are scheduled, credentials will allow the vehicle to proceed onto the
screening process. If the vehicle/driver are not scheduled or any other anomalies occur,
credentials will follow a standard operating procedure provided by Site CBRE Government
Services LLC and Owner to reconcile the conflict and/or refuse the vehicle.
e. Credentials' will be required to communicate and work together with other agencies
operating at the site. Law enforcement and security personnel will be responsible for
vetting and screening vehicles on street and within the North Helix
Credentials' shall always defer to law enforcement should questions arise as to the validity
of allowing a driver or vehicle into the WTC.
g. Credentials' shall make every effort possible to resolve scheduling conflicts for drivers or
vehicles in the field before sending them away using a standard operating procedure
provided by the Site CBRE Government Services LLC and Owner. These standard operating
procedures could include, but are not limited to, coordinating with designated tenant or
stakeholder representatives to reconcile minor scheduling errors or mishaps, and/or
coordinating with drivers to reconcile any minor and unexpected issues like an unexpected
passenger or a replacement vehicle.
h. Credentials' assigned to specific areas shall make every effort possible to resolve
scheduling conflicts for drivers or vehicles in the field before sending them away using a
standard operating procedure provided by the Site CBRE Government Services LLC and
Owner. These standard operating procedures could include, but are not limited to,
coordinating with designated tenant or stakeholder representatives to reconcile minor
scheduling errors or mishaps, and/or coordinating with drivers to reconcile any minor and
unexpected issues like an unexpected passenger or a replacement vehicle. Additionally,
credentials assigned to North Bound reconciliation area shall have additional
communication with stakeholders, loading dock attendants, and vendors to resolve
scheduling and other conflicts.
Qualifications:
Must pass a 5-panel drug test prior to placement.
Must undergo employment verification check back to age 18.
Must be 21 years or older.
May be required to perform emergency duties which require physical exertion such as: standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying objects up to 75 lbs., and running
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; possession of a college degree is highly desirable.
Speak, read, and write English.
All assigned personnel should be of high integrity and possess exemplary security skills and judgment.
Assigned personnel should possess above average computer skills and must hold all necessary and required licenses, permits and certifications required by the States and/or Countries of assignment to perform security officer duties.
