Role Overview :
The Financial Education and Wellness team plays a pivotal role in working with different channel partners to fulfill New York Life’s mission to provide financial security and peace of mind. This dedicated team is responsible for crafting comprehensive financial education programs that are accessible via both employer channels as well as New York Life advisors within their local markets. By developing and disseminating high-quality content, tools, and services, they ensure that individuals have the knowledge and resources needed to make informed financial decisions, ultimately enhancing their overall financial well-being.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced program manager with background in financial planning or financial education programs. This role will be responsible for continuing to manage and grow our financial education program that includes financial education workshops delivered by trained advisors, and a digital platform – with content, tools, and access to various services.
What You’ll Do :
Operationalize and manage the deployment of financial education program strategy
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop an integrated roadmap for achieving the program objectives
Manage a cross functional team to deliver on the program milestones
Learn New York Life’s financial planning framework and apply that in enhancing the program
Collaborate with personal finance educators, financial planning experts, product manager and content developers to enhance program content and delivery
Collaborate with internal training and development teams to enhance the financial education training program for NYL advisors
Develop metrics and tools to assess the effectiveness of the program and make data-driven improvements
Interface with advisors and development managers to receive and action feedback, improve processes, and drive accountability; ultimately driving the program OKRs.
What You’ll Bring :
Bachelor’s degree in education, finance, business administration, or a related field; and/or equivalent experience.
Minimum 8 years of experience in program management.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning or developing and delivering financial education programs at a financial service organization.
Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong understanding of financial planning concepts and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical skills to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Financial services certification (e.g., CFP, CFA, ChFC)

Pay Transparency

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
