JPMorgan Chase Corporate Development Commerce and Loyalty, Vice President in New York, New York

Join the Corporate Development Commerce team and help chart a new partnership path for Chase.

As a Vice President on the Corporate Development team, you will think strategically, build and leverage relationships across various lines of business, and find ways to manage, execute and deliver on key partnerships. You will provide innovative, forward-thinking ideas, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment alongside senior leaders across the bank to build and deliver partnerships that drive Chase forward.

The Corporate Development Team is responsible for all strategic partnerships, investments and acquisitions at Chase across our major consumer businesses, including the Connected Commerce, Consumer Bank, Business Bank, Card Services, Home Lending, Travel, Digital and Auto. The team specific focus is on Offers & Shopping, Loyalty, and Card, as Chase seeks to become a leading innovative player in the space to bring new value to our customers. Across these businesses, the team is responsible to drive partnerships, investments and acquisitions for Chase Offers enhancements, scaling up the Shopping business and value prop, optimizing and elevating the Loyalty Ultimate Rewards business, expanding Chase Experiences opportunities and functionalities, develop our Credit Score products, and more. To support this vision, we work hand in hand with the product teams to procure ground-breaking partnerships that will boost consumer engagement. In this vertical, the team works with an established group of executive leaders to grow the business in these key spaces.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally within Chase and JPMC and with external partners to identify, negotiate, and execute key partnerships that drive business results and support the business strategy

  • Collaboratively develop partnership strategy with the lines of business, including identifying key elements of the strategy, completing analysis, and making recommendation

  • Develop and help deliver specific partner proposals with the lines of business, including overall vision, partnership economics, and product integration

  • Work in conjunction with finance, legal, risk, control, compliance and other functional partners to develop financial business case, deal constructs, and other key terms associated with partnership

  • Monitor external environment for important competitive developments and potential partnership opportunities and communicate more broadly to key line of business partners as necessary

  • Ensure all deals and business development is executed in accordance with policies, controls, key functional partners, and Corporate Development procedures

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Significant partnership, strategic alliance, or deal execution experience and/or strategy and/or consulting experience

  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills - ability to collaborate and build relationships with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources

  • A high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership

  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Open, collaborative, team-oriented operating style

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 7+ years industry experience, preferably across financial services/banking, loyalty and commerce including at least 1+ years of experience leading teams

  • Significant partnership, strategic alliance, or deal execution experience and/or strategy and/or consulting experience

  • Financial services industry experience

  • MBA and/or advanced degree from a top-tier program

New York,NY $142,500.00 - $210,000.00 / year
