JOB SUMMARY:

HGI is seeking an Associate to join the Investor Relations team in its New York office. The Investor Relations team is responsible for the firm’s capital-raising activities and relationships with investors and prospective investors. The Associate will support existing and prospective investor relationships by focusing on enhancing investor engagement, assisting in managing the capital raising process for HGI’s investment vehicles and funds and interacting with investors through diligence efforts. Successful candidates should be detail-oriented, analytical and a self-starter, and must be able to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented collaborative environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the development and execution of investor relations strategies to support capital raising efforts, coordinate investor meetings, and manage follow-up communications

• Respond to RFPs and DDQs from prospective LPs

• Create, develop, and maintain marketing and diligence collateral including DDQs, PPMs, pitchbooks, annual meeting materials, offering memorandums, whitepapers, annual reports, case studies, investment activity updates, etc.

• Coordinate logistics and materials for the firm’s AGM, board meetings, update calls, webinars, investor days and track the IR events and conference calendar

• Analyze quantitative and qualitative information including drivers of investment performance, portfolio metrics, and investment strategy positioning

• Utilize investor prospecting databases to perform investor, competitor, and market due diligence

• Capture and maintain the firm’s capital raising activity and database of contacts in CRM system

• Assist in the drafting of investor reporting and communication, including preparation of quarterly reporting, capital calls and distribution notices

• Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of HGI product offerings, industry trends, competitive landscape

• Interact closely and build relationships with the capital raisers to support their outreach efforts, business development and marketing initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 4-7 years of related professional experience, ideally within the real estate or private equity industry, and a bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience

• Experience in investor relations, capital markets, capital raising, marketing, or related role desirable

• Institutional fund marketing sales and support experience strongly preferred

• Understand the LP landscape and investor types

• Strong investment and financial analytical capabilities and investment reporting experience

• Demonstrate a high degree of financial markets and real estate concepts

• Advanced Microsoft Office (including Excel and PowerPoint) skills

• Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills coupled with strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage time-sensitive projects through the coordination of multiple resources.
