JPMorgan Chase Consumer and Business Banking Public Relations - Vice President in New York, New York

Embark on an exciting career journey as our Consumer and Business Banking Public Relations Vice President, where you will leverage your experience in public relations or journalism to support JPMorgan Chase's Consumer Banking and Business Banking units. JPMorgan Chase is expanding in many markets across the U.S., and we need additional help telling our story.

As a Vice President for Consumer and Business Banking, you will leverage your experience in public relations or journalism to provide media relations and operational support for the team with a focus on helping us tell our story around financial health and the impact we're making in communities through our branches, products and people. You will develop holistic public relations campaigns across traditional, social and digital media, including integrated marketing and Public Relations campaigns that promote the brand through content, activations and talent.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to showcase our unique strategy to supporting our customers, clients and communities

  • Serve as point of contact for media inquiries, coordinating interviews, providing timely and accurate information

  • Develop talking points and key messages for the business and our spokespeople

  • Create content on an as-needed basis, e.g. media pitches, press releases, articles, briefing materials, and social media posts

  • Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders across the firm including in Corporate Responsibility, Commercial Banking, and other Chase businesses to showcase our firmwide impact in our communities

  • Collaborate with communicators in local markets and other internal stakeholders to organize branch grand opening events and develop communications plans

  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry developments to anticipate potential media issues and proactively address them

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 5+ years of media relations experience at an agency or in-house; Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related discipline

  • Excellent writing skills; ability to identify, tell and share great stories

  • Strong understanding of the media landscape and existing relationships with national and trade media

  • Adept at working in fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

  • Strong executive presence and ability to advise and work with senior management

  • Fluency across social media and other communications channels, with a proven ability to tap them to protect reputation and promote the brand

  • Excellent judgment and ability to handle sensitive issues, particularly pertaining to media.

  • Ability to partner across a large, matrixed organization, with an understanding of how to lead by influence not control

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability and eagerness to take a creative approach to problem solving.

  • Experience using PowerPoint, Gorkana, Zignal

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • The use of similar communications software like Gorkana and Zignal
