Our division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm's culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm's enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm's second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm's compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm's responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.
We are seeking an individual to join the Compliance Engineering team to focus on enhancing the firm's ability to fight financial crime. We are seeking the below qualifications.
  • Expert knowledge in FCC, including policies, procedures, and controls, in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Build and operate a suite of platforms and applications that prevent, detect, and mitigate regulatory and reputational risk across the firm
  • Prior experience partnering with engineering teams to build and deploy AML products in production. Going from ideation phase to deploying and monitoring a production system is a big bonus.
  • Manage significant projects and be involved in the full life cycle; scoping, designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software systems across our products.
  • 8+ years of prior experience in a technical role in Financial Crimes Compliance managing multiple projects and initiatives in a financial services organization
  • Promote strategic vision and technical solutions to implement overarching FCC coverage assessment and risk management programs.
  • Knowledge of latest AML transaction monitoring technology tools, trends and understanding of AML and terrorist financing trends and typologies
  • Experience working on AML Transaction Monitoring product optimization such as Actimize and Mantas; preferably modern transaction monitoring systems leveraging machine learning algorithms for detection
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple IT control and project management practices and experience working across large environments
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with businesses and teams across the firm such as Technology, Data, Compliance and Audit
  • Oversee multiple programs concurrently managing and sequencing the delivery of intent, requirements, and execution against the strategy
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems or related field
  • ACAMS certification preferred

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150,000-$250,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
