The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Participating in the execution process of Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) transactions, including the structuring, documentation drafting, cash-flow modeling, rating agency analytics, marketing and investor-requested analysis. Liaising with internal stakeholders, including Credit, Syndicate, Sales, and Middle Office, and with external parties, including Legal Counsel, Trustees, and Rating Agencies. Performing quantitative modeling and analysis for prospective and actual CLO transactions. Modeling and developing liability waterfall priority of payments, projecting collateral portfolio and CLO liability cash flows under default, recovery, interest rate stress and reinvestment scenarios, and measuring resulting losses. Summarizing and presenting results clearly, succinctly and accurately to team members, CLO managers, and investors. Developing new custom cash flow models and analytical tools including in Excel VBA, to increase productivity and process optimization. Developing the internal model framework for infrastructure and project finance CLOs including a default correlation matrix tool. Reviewing CLO indenture and deriving and implementing the documented transaction features into cash flow models. Interpreting and implementing CLO rating agency criteria into cash flow models. Modeling innovative new CLO structures according to the needs of potential clients and investors. Compiling, analyzing, and interpreting deal and portfolio metrics for portfolio analysis of CLO transactions on an aggregate basis. Communicating with clients and providing them with updates during the transaction development and execution stages and providing recommendations for optimized structures and portfolios. Working on CLO transaction documentation to reflect the terms of each transaction, including quantitative terms such as tables and matrices. Monitoring and participating in the preparation of materials to update Syndicate, Sales, and clients. Supervising junior team members working on review and analysis of portfolio data and coordinating internal processes. Creating marketing materials for issuer and investor clients such as detailed term sheets and modeling summaries; responding to investor questions regarding structure, analysis and documentation as needed. Participating in conference and investor marketing “road show” meetings. Preparing materials for internal meetings and approvals. Participating in special assignments and projects as required. May supervise and train up to 1-2 Securitized Products Analysts.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or a related quantitative field (or foreign equivalent degree).

Experience: 3 years of related experience working in a Rating Agency or in the securitized product structuring area of a bank modeling and analyzing broadly syndicated and middle market Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) utilizing both Excel and Intex including modeling and developing liability waterfall priority of payments, projecting collateral portfolio and CLO liability cash flows under default, recovery, interest rate stress and reinvestment scenarios, and measuring resulting losses; developing new custom cash flow models and analytical tools; summarizing and presenting results to senior team members/clients; reviewing CLO indenture and deriving and implementing the documented transaction features into cash flow models; interpreting and implementing CLO rating agency criteria into cash flow models; and compiling, analyzing, and interpreting deal and portfolio metrics for portfolio analysis of CLO transactions on an aggregate basis.

Other: Position may require less than 10% domestic and international travel.

Other: Required to work nights and weekends during non-business hours based on transaction schedule and client requirements.

Wage: $190,000 - $235,000 U.S. dollars per year
