Neuberger Berman Client Service Analyst/ Sr. Analyst – Intermediary Private Markets Investor Relations in New York, New York

The Investor Relations team is dedicated to providing a superior investor experience across its evergreen, open and closed-end funds, including institutional and private wealth investors and intermediaries, while ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements.

Our team partners with various internal teams, as well as external fund administrators, to provide our private fund investors with a consistent client service experience. This requires a deep understanding of the product as well as operational process flow oversight and execution. The Client Service Analyst’s scope of work will include client’s day-to-day management of client inquiries and requests, management of our fund administrator relationships, and production and dissemination of client/regulatory/shareholder services reporting as well as investor communications. The Analyst will be an integral part of the Investor Relations Team performing various operational and client service functions as described below:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support to Investor Relations team in onboarding, servicing, and maintaining the investor database in addition to periodic and ongoing client support.

  • Onboard clients and assist clients with required documentation.

  • Perform account maintenance including but not limited to; name/address changes, gifting and/or transferring partnership interest, and other ongoing database maintenance.

  • Regular and proactive contact with clients regarding; new account documents

  • Maintain accurate and detailed client files

  • Client service support of NB Alternatives fund(s) including communication with clients regarding financial statements, capital calls, distributions, quarterly updates, and tax documents.

  • Field telephone calls and emails from clients; work with the appropriate NB staff to answer client requests.

  • Gain hands on experience working directly with clients in all aspects of client servicing

  • Work as part of a team environment toward a common goal of providing exceptional client service

Requirements:

  • Excellent client service skills, including sound business judgment and understanding of escalation procedures

  • Detailed oriented and organized with strong follow-up skills

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong collaboration, time management, and organizational skills

  • Client focused and detail-oriented with a strong ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast past work atmosphere

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Experience working with/at a Fund Administrator preferable, but not required

  • Private Equity exposure

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $65,000-$90,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
