Neuberger Berman Client Analyst in New York, New York

Summary:

As a member of the North American Intermediary sales team, the primary responsibility of the Analyst is to support senior Private Bank, Sub Advised and Retirement Relationship Managers and Business Development professionals to build and maintain the team’s growing business.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Relationship Managers and Business Development professionals in all aspects of building and maintaining client partnerships with Private Banks, Sub Advised and Retirement Platforms.

  • Develop strong relationships with groups within NB to articulate, process and resolve client requests and manage deadlines. Ensure a superior client experience by coordinating deliverables with legal, compliance, operations, client service, reporting, marketing, RFP, and portfolio management teams.

  • Prepare pre- and post-meeting materials, agendas and other materials for internal participants based on client relationship and meeting objectives.

  • Participate in due diligence calls with clients, assist with call notes and follow up items in a timely manner.

  • Play an integral role in creating client deliverables, engaging with colleagues for periodic / ad hoc requests and maintaining quality control oversight

  • Assist with client database (SalesForce.com) management and identification of new prospects.

  • Support Relationship Managers with conference and sponsorship planning.

  • Analyze competitive landscape and portfolio characteristics across strategies for product onboarding, research advocacy, and discretionary model placement.

  • Create customized presentations on the state of our business for senior management and key internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years asset management sales or marketing experience (intermediary or institutional experience preferred).

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow up skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage/prioritize multiple projects, coordinating with numerous internal groups.

  • Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Morningstar.

  • Team player and highly motivated.

  • Strong interest in investments, investment products, asset allocation and capital markets.

  • Enjoys a fast paced, high intensity environment.

  • Series 7, 63 and 65 or Series 7 and 66 licenses required within 90 days of employment.

  • Progress toward CFA or CAIA is a plus, but not required.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $65,000-$80,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
