Responsibilities

The Director of Business Development will work in collaboration with Business Development Leadership, SCA Operation Teams, and Facility Teams to become the marketplace expert and help drive growth in the region. The position targets physicians and key facility staff to build productive relationships and drive incremental surgical case volume into SCA’s network of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). This position will be responsible for communicating the value of SCA and affiliated businesses with decision makers as well as partnering with SCA Support Service Lanes to develop organic growth plans for the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of physicians in assigned geography to identify and assess potential growth opportunities.

  • Develop and effectively communicate value proposition to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Works as a team with Business Development leadership, Operations, and facility leadership to create and execute strategic growth plans.

  • Responsible for cultivating key stakeholder relationships both internal and external.

  • Understands, collaborates, and influences which cases can be migrated to SCA facilities from hospital or competing ASC.

  • Identify opportunities to implement or grow new service lines in collaboration with internal teams.

  • Canvases market for physicians to recruit, credential and on-board into the surgery centers.

  • Leads and organizes physician onboarding and credentialing process with facility teams.

  • Responsible for established goals and maximizing case volume from all credentialed physicians.

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5 Year Minimum Experience in Healthcare with Proven Track Record in Business Development or Sales Related Role

  • Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) experience Preferred.
