Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a part-time Bookkeeper in New York, New York. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for various financial tasks such as managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will also be tasked with handling payroll, data entry, and using software like Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the entire accounting process including accounts payable and receivable

• Ensure accuracy in data entry and in preparing and maintaining financial records and reports

• Carry out bank reconciliations regularly to ensure financial transparency

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks and reports

• Handle payroll efficiently and in a timely manner

• Use QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks

• Ensure the month-end close process is efficient and accurate

• Manage invoicing and billing to ensure all finances are up to date

• Prepare and manage journal entries regularly.

Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge and experience in Bookkeeping

• Competency in Data Entry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close processes

• Familiarity with Payroll procedures

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software
