Associates, Financial Sponsors with ING Financial Services, LLC in New York, NY. Work with the Financial Sponsors Group (“FSG”) which is a global team mandated with coordinating the relationship and product coverage of multi-strategy alternative investment managers that are active across a range of asset classes around the world. Responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining key databases used by the team to effectively cover clients. Engage with ING teams across the globe to understand local client initiatives and learn from the respective products. Produce presentations, memos, financial reports and other supporting material for internal stakeholders and senior management meetings. Coordinate KYC onboarding and remediation efforts. Develop a sound understanding of each sponsor’s strategy and support the senior relationship manager in executing ING’s client coverage model for each relationship. Prepare pitches, briefing notes, and marketing materials for client meetings. Identify and drive cross-buy opportunities from product and client conversations. Provide input to commercial and credit committee applications, where appropriate. Stay well informed of trends in the industry and the position of competitors in all geographies where ING has a wholesale presence. Contribute strategic insights for the development of ING’s business. Manage periodic projects of strategic importance to ING. Liaise with other product specialists and departments throughout ING, including risk management, syndications, loan operations, financial markets, portfolio management and KYC desk. Salary range: $130,000 - $165,000. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field and minimum 2 years of experience in any occupation of investment analyst or related. Experience must include: working within private fund sector and financial institution; GAAP accounting principles and core financial statements; credit training and KYC; conducting economic research using R and Stata to perform asset value projection; data analysis with large data sets, financial modeling, market trend analysis and economic forecasting; fund governance, cash and investment management; applying knowledge of private fund investment strategies and asset types to create LBO models and investment memos; and creating dashboards for evaluating client and fund performance.
