Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Originate, structure, analyze, execute, and facilitate the distribution of securitization and general asset- based financing transactions for issuers in sectors such as transportation (including aircrafts). Assist with live deal execution, including running due diligence processes, negotiating financing documentation, managing rating agency processes, and drafting, organizing, and attending deal and non-deal roadshows, and liaising with other investment banks and other parties. Develop fixed income bond structures. Work with senior and junior professionals on presentations prepared for transactions, investment banking pitches and client service projects on aircraft finance topics, as well as work on financial models and draft memoranda required to gain internal approvals from typical investment banking committees. Build complex cash flow models for transportation assets, including aircraft, container, and other shipping assets. Analyze the mechanics of cash flow waterfalls and understand the return and risk of transactions. Work with rating agencies and understand rating criteria and review legal documents and offering memoranda to identify inconsistencies and model transactions based on operative documents.Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Quantitative Finance and Risk Analytics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Quantitative Finance and Risk Analytics, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Prior experience must include two (2) years with Master’s degree or five (5) years with Bachelor’s degree with the following: performing credit analysis, including analyzing a company’s financial position, evaluating historical cashflow, assessing the maturity profile of total borrowings and the ability to refinance in the future; building and reviewing financial models, including operating models, merger and acquisition models, and leverage buyout valuations and securitization models; reviewing legal documents that support financial transactions; preparing presentations in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint to review deals with senior bankers, investment committees, and rating agencies; facilitating and managing communication flow between various stakeholders; developing financial models and complex presentations related to various topics including but not limited to business strategy and corporate finance, using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint; and utilizing Microsoft Power Point, Word, Excel and Bloomberg, to develop effective internal and external presentations, create financial models, as well as analyze data. FINRA Series 79, 63 and SIE or able to obtain within twelve (12) months of hire. Travel required approximately 10% of the time internationally and domestically to attend client meetings.
