You Will

The Revenue Office/Girl Scout Merchandise leads merchandising, licensing, product sales, and other revenue streams, which in turn fund both Girl Scouts of the USA programming and administration and local council revenue. The teams at this division include e-commerce, operations, retail, licensing, and the famous Girl Scout Cookie Program and work closely with all the other communities to bring products to market for our Girl Scouts and to the general public. The team also collaborates closely with external vendors, sponsors, and external agencies.

POSITION SUMMARY:

TheAssociate, Email Marketing and Designwill be a key contributor to our email marketing and creative content efforts and help drive growth in our online revenue. The Email Marketing and Design Associate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive and best-in-class email marketing strategies, creating digital catalogs, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns for Girl Scout Merchandise to enhance brand visibility and drive customer acquisition and retention.

This hands-on role entails leading the creative design, performance and personalization of our email campaigns. The Email Marketing and Design Associate will take on various responsibilities, such as creating assets for the site and our paid marketing campaigns, optimizing segmented email sends to enhance conversions and engagement. Collaboration with multiple teams will be essential as the role will involve thorough analysis of email analytics and transactional data to track performance and uncover growth opportunities.

This role requires a creative thinker and implementer with a track record in scaling an e-commerce business through email marketing strategies, creative design, data-driven insights to help move the e-commerce business forward. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Ecommerce & Marketing, Girl Scout Merchandise.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Primary duties of the position

Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

  • Track and report on email campaign performance, including open rates, click-through rates, and conversion metrics.

  • Designed emails and developed design

  • Implement A/B testing strategies and refine email triggers, delivery timing, and content based on data-driven insights.

    Customer Journey Management:

  • Create and maintain automated email journeys that nurture customers through the sales funnel and increase lifetime value.

  • Collaborate with the Sr. Director of E-commerce & Buying team to develop email strategies that support the organization’s strategic goals, marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotions.

    Content Creation and Management:

  • Create, design and update related website content (Homepage, CLP, PLP, PDP) to align with emails sends and sales initiatives.

  • Write and edit marketing copy for emails, site and promotional materials.

  • Create, design and update the yearly “Essentials Guide,” a digital & printed catalog of current Girl Scouts Products.

    Cross-Channel Coordination:

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including creative, sales, and analytics, to ensure campaigns are aligned with brand and mission goals.

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

    Experience leading DTC email marketing acumen, analytics mind with an expertise in creative/design skills.

  • In-depth understanding of email marketing campaigns and how to drive e-commerce sales through innovative, effective, and consistent strategies.

  • 2-3 years of experience in email marketing

  • Expert level experience in graphic design

  • Proficiency with industry-leading ESPs such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Taxi

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and email design principles and best practices

  • Excellent time and project management skills to support the fast-paced demands of email marketing, with the ability to manage all targeted sends each week and maintain a marketing calendar that plans 2-3 months ahead

  • Experience with customer segmentation, list management, data extensions, and deliverability best practices

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in tracking and optimizing email campaigns based on KPIs

  • Experience with DTC lifestyle brands and familiarity with the unique needs of these industries

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently

  • Understanding of ecommerce consumer behavior and direct-marketing principles including AB test design and analytics

  • A highly motivated self-starter with a deep understanding of online customers' needs, the product, and the competitive landscape

  • Excellent communicator, able to build strong cross-functional relationships, internally and externally

  • Ability to effectively convey and embody the brand's vision while upholding its brand equity

  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment, with competing priorities and limited resources

    REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

    Office 365 or similar suites

    Fluency in Email provider experience

    Fluency in Photoshop/InDesign or similar design software

    Experience with NetSuite, Hybris or similar E-Commerce platform experience

    Experience in Google Analytics or similar data analytics software

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (i.e., degrees, certifications)

    Degree or Equivalent Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience

    Minimum Years of Experience:Must have at least 2 -3 years prior experience with responsibility over DTC Email campaigns required

    Required Field of Study:

    Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Omni-channel Marketing or related field required

    Position Type: This is a full-time position.

    Salary Range: $58,000.00 -$75,000.00

    Must have 2-3 years’ experience.

    This represents the present low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment.

    POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with a 35 hour per week schedule. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
