DUTIES: The Bank of Nova Scotia seeks Associate Director, US Corporate Banking, Structuring & Execution, Financial Institutions in New York, NY to assist in structuring and execution of transactions with Financial Institutions clients, including credit analysis, negotiation and review of loan/trading documents, and closing of transactions. Possess subject matter expertise and industry knowledge. Help oversee, train and mentor those more junior on the team. Work in close collaboration with Origination team to help identify, develop, and grow multi-product relationships with Financial Institution clients. Possess strong project management skills to ensure appropriate account coverage and tracking of relationship progress.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: working in the financial institutions sector, including insurance companies, insurance brokers and payment companies; making recommendations on loan, trading, and other transaction documents, including setting appropriate financial institutions-specific credit terms/covenants; utilizing experience with credit analysis to determine the credit quality of clients to structure transactions to mitigate or minimize risk; working with mechanics of loan and traded products, including documentation risk, implications for credit risk, and ways to structure/minimize risks. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site.
